Privacy Policy

Anyway is a social app for sharing with friends and making your profile your own. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the app and how you can control it. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@anywaysocial.com.
Information you provide
- Account details: your email address, account identifier, and sign-in credentials. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we do not display your password to other users.
- Profile details: your username, display name, bio, optional location that you type yourself, profile photo, interests, About Me text, and your profile's appearance settings and uploaded images.
- Things you share: posts, post images, comments, likes, gallery photos and captions, and guestbook entries.
- Social activity: friend requests, friendships, follows, featured friends, blocks, direct messages, shared posts, and notifications.
- Safety and support: reports you submit, their reasons and optional details, and information you send to our support email.
How we use information
We use this information to create and protect accounts; show profiles, posts, messages and social activity to the people who are allowed to see them; store and deliver photos; honor your privacy and blocking choices; send account emails; respond to requests; and review reports or address misuse.
Who can see it
Other people may see information you place on your profile and the content you share, subject to the audience and profile settings available in the app. People in a conversation can see messages sent in that conversation. Reports and support messages are available to people handling safety and support. Consider your selected audience before sharing information about yourself or others.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication, database services, and image storage. Email service providers help deliver account emails and respond to support messages. These providers process information as needed to operate those services. They may also handle technical information, such as network requests and service logs, under their own applicable terms and privacy practices.
Information on your device
The app may keep account switcher details and saved sign-in credentials on your device and cache images to make profiles load faster. You can remove saved accounts from the account switcher. Your device's settings and removal of the app may also affect locally stored data.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information and content while the account is active or as needed to provide the app. You can delete your account in Settings → Delete Account. This removes the account and associated records from the active database and removes uploaded files in that account's folders in our four image storage buckets. Deletion may not remove copies someone else made of content they could access, and limited information may remain temporarily in service provider backups or logs or where retention is necessary to address legal or security obligations. Security
We use access controls and service provider tools to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and contact us if you think someone has gained access to your account.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
